About Usher Hall
Usher Hall has been Edinburgh's principal concert hall since it opened in 1914, funded by a £100,000 bequest from whisky distiller Andrew Usher. The circular Edwardian Baroque building on Lothian Road is one of the city's great civic treasures, with a magnificent domed auditorium famous for its exceptional acoustics. Home to the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, it also programmes the full range from classical and jazz to rock, folk and comedy.
