About Old Fruitmarket
The Old Fruitmarket is one of Glasgow's most spectacular event spaces, a Victorian fruit and vegetable market with a soaring cast-iron roof and ornate arched windows. Opened around 1890 in the Merchant City and managed by Glasgow Life, it forms a sister venue to the adjacent City Halls. Its cavernous interior transforms beautifully for concerts — the industrial grandeur and atmospheric lighting make it a favourite for Celtic Connections and other special events.
