About Caird Hall
Caird Hall is Dundee's magnificent civic concert hall, gifted to the city by jute magnate Sir James Key Caird and opened in 1923. The imposing neoclassical building on City Square has been at the heart of Dundee's cultural life for a century — hosting the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, major pop and rock acts, boxing matches and civic events. Its grand auditorium with tiered seating and a pipe organ remains Dundee's largest indoor performance space.
